Disabilitare la Pubblicità in Windows Live Messenger

In Windows Live Messenger c’ècome tutti avranno notato alcuni banner che mostrano della pubblicità.

Bene ora vi mostrerò un modo per farla scomparire.

In windows esiste un file chiamato hosts che se modificato in modo opportuno non permette di scambiare dati con un determinato host.

Il file si trova nella cartella : Windows/System32/drivers/etc/

Il file in questione è chiamato hosts (senza estensione).

Vi basta aprirlo con il blocco note di windows ( o un altro editor)

e inserire la seguente scritta nell’ultima riga (non toccate altro)

127.0.0.1 rad.msn.com

ora salvate e riavviate.

Vedrete che il banner della pubblicità rimarrà “magicamente” vuoto.

Questo perchè il file hosts dirà al programma di controllare l’indirizzo 127.0.0.1 cioè l’host locale (il vostro computer) e non troverà nulla, quindi il banner rimarrà vuoto.

Ricordo però che questa non è una modifica definita , nel senso che se il programma aggiornandosi nelle future versioni potrà cambiare l’indirizzo da cui prende la pubblicità; a quel punto basterà scoprire da dove la prende e aggiungerla al file hosts.
